Debutant designer Sanjay Garg will open the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 to be held from October 7.
Mubarikpur-born Garg, who is known for reviving Indian heritage through the indigenous sari, said even in his latest collection his aim is to bridge the gap between tradition and modern.
"The garments in this collection aim to bridge the gap between textile and fashion, and at the same time, blur the categories of traditional and modern, old and new, past and present," said Garg, whose has a eponymous label, Raw Mango.

Garg said that he feels honoured to have been asked to open the five-day fest, which will conclude on October 11.
