Congress MP Sanjay Singh was today accorded warm welcome by hundreds of party activists on his first visit to Amethi after being elected to the Rajya Sabha from Assam.
Singh, the former MP from the neighbouring Sultanpur Lok Sabha constituency, today reached his home town, along with his wife and ex-Uttar Pradesh minister Ameeta Singh.
Later, the Congress MP addressed party workers who gathered in front of his house at Ramnagar.
He thanked Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi for his election to the Rajya Sabha, and said he would do his best to serve the society and would always stand for the causes of the masses.
