Tamil Nadu were held by Goa in a goalless draw in the league encounter while Punjab defeated Assam by 2-0 in another tie in the 70th Senior National Football Championship here today.
Though the match between Tamil Nadu and Goa was an up and down show but neither team could score in the 90 minute game.
Tamil Nadu had earlier routed Assam 3-0. It was their second fixture.
In another match, Punjab scored once in each half to blank Assam 2-0.
Punjab's Vijay Kumar scored the first goal in the 11th minute while Pawan Kumar Tiwari scored the second one in the 76th minute.
While Maharashtra are up against Services tomorrow, Jammu & Kashmir play Mizoram.
