BJP MLA Santosh Yadav was today elected Deputy Speaker of Haryana Assembly here.
The name of Yadav, MLA from Ateli in Mahendargarh district, was proposed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ram Bilas Sharma seconded it.
The main Opposition INLD supported Yadav's nomination.
Congress expressed its reservation saying it would have been better if an opposition MLA - either from Congress or INLD - had been elected.
