Global marketing, consulting and technology company Sapient today said it will hire about 1,500 people in India to take its total headcount to 10,000 by the end of the year.
The company, which has about 8,500 people across its centres in India, has also set up a new office in Bengaluru with a capacity of 3,500 workstations.
Sapient has over 13,000 employees globally. Out of this, 8,500 are housed in India (at the start of this year). The target is to take the India capacity to 10,000 by the end of this year.

He added that the Bengaluru centre, spread over 4 lakh sq ft, is its single largest premise globally.
