CPI(M) today said law should take its own course in the Saradha ponzi scam and investigating agencies should not be intimidated by the position held by any person.
"The Supreme Court has said Saradha scam is part of a larger conspiracy and directed CBI to go to the bottom of it. If any Trinamool Congress member of Rajya Sabha is being summoned by CBI, investigating agencies should not be intimidated by the position the person holds.
"The law must take its own course. Crime should not go unpunished," CPI(M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury told reporters here.

"The money of the poor has been looted. Sell the properties and return the money, otherwise there is law today to confiscate these and return the looted money," he said.
Trinamool Congress General Secretary Mukul Roy has been asked by CBI to appear before it in the Saradha scam probe, drawing angry reaction from the party which accused BJP of using the agency as its "political tool".
Asked whether the government should quit after several top Trinamool leaders were arrested or summoned by CBI, Yechury said, "Resignation is not the point. Whatever be the crime, it has to be established on the basis of evidence and it should not go unpunished."
Reacting to Trinamool's protest call against summoning of its leaders by CBI, the CPI(M) leader said, "It is for the people to decide what is truth and what is not. But, investigation cannot be intimidated by anything. People already know the reality."
