The acclaimed designer hopes to be asked to create a new wardrobe for the royal, following the recent announcement she is expecting her first child, reported Femalefirst online.
"I hope I will be," Burton said.
The designer said that being asked to work on the wedding gown for the duchess was a big surprise.
"It came completely out of the blue, it was very exciting and I felt very privileged," she said.
Burton recently received the OBE for services to the British fashion industry during a Buckingham Palace investiture ceremony.
"I am very, very humbled and it is just a huge honour to be here - I am very lucky," she said.
