Sarah Michelle Gellar returning for Cruel Intentions reboot

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to reprise her role in the "Cruel Intentions" TV reboot.

The 38-year-old actress announced that she will be returning for NBC's reboot of the 1999 film that also starred Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair and Ryan Phillippem, reported Us Magazine.

"#kathrynmerteuil is back!!! I am happy to say that I will be joining them (and @nbctv ) on the new #Crueltv" she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her with director Roger Kumble and executive producer Neal Moritz.

The film was an adaption of the classic French novel "Les Liaisons dangereuses".

The series revolves around teenager Bash Casey (Taylor John Smith), the son of the late Sebastian Valmont (played Phillippe in the film) and Annette Hargrove (Witherspoon in the film).
