Saria falls on sluggish demand

Saria turned weak as prices fell by Rs 500 per tonne at the wholesale steel market in the national capital today following muted demand from constructions units.

Traders said subdued demand from construction and engineering units due to adverse weather conditions against adequate stocks, mainly led to decline in saria prices.

Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 35,400, Rs 33,600 and Rs 33,000 per tonne, respectively.

Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 33,000 per tonne.

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 35,400, 10-mm Rs 33,600, 12-mm Rs 33,000, 16-25 mm Rs 33,000.
