Saria moves up on stockists buying

Saria prices rose by Rs 1,000 per tonne at the wholesale steel market in the national capital today on increased offtake by stockists following pick up in demand from constructions units.

Traders said stockists buying on the back of pick up in demand from construction units mainly led to rise in saria prices.

Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 35,900, Rs 34,100 and Rs 33,500 per tonne, respectively.

16-25-mm followed suit and enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 33,500 per tonne.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 35,900, 10-mm Rs 34,100, 12-mm Rs 33,500, 16-25 mm Rs 33,500.

Angle Capital (IS) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600, Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
