Saria remains weak on reduced offtake

Saria prices fell further by Rs 200 per tonne on the wholesale steel market in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by stockists following amid slowdown in constructions activity.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists on the back of slowdown in constructions activity against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm fell further by Rs 200 each to Rs 47,500, Rs 47,000 and Rs 44,600 per tonne respectively. Saria 16-25mm followed suit and enquired lower lower by a similar margin to Rs 45,300 per tonne.

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 47,500, 10-mm Rs 47,000, 12-mm Rs 44,600, 16-25 mm Rs 45,300.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm, Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
