Saria strengthens in thin trade

In restricted activities, saria strengthened at the steel market in the national capital today with prices rising by Rs 200 per tonne on increased offtake by stockists following pick up in constructions activity.

In the saria segment, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16 -25 mm were down by Rs 200 each at Rs 40,200, Rs 39,000, RS 39,000 and RS 38,500 per tonne, respectively.

Movements in other steels, however, restricted due to absence of any worthwhile activities.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 40,400, 10-mm Rs 39,200, 12-mm Rs 39,200, 16-25 mm Rs 38,700.
 

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (IS) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600, Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
