Saria strengthens on buying by stockists

Saria strengthened by Rs 300 per tonne at the steel market today on the back of increased offtake by stockists to meet rising demand from construction units.

Besides, the rise in scrap prices also led to the hike in saria prices.

Traders said apart from increased offtake by stockists following an upswing in construction activity, rising scrap prices also influenced saria prices.

In the saria section, kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25 traded Rs 300 each higher at Rs 48,400, Rs 47,000, Rs 46,000 and Rs 46,700 per tonne, respectively.

The following are today's quotations per tonne:

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm 48,400, 10-mm 47,000, 12-mm 46,000, 16-25 mm 46,700
 

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,800, 10 mm 45,500, 12-mm 44,700, 16-25 mm 44,900.

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 45,500, 10-mm 43,200, 12-mm 42,200, 16-25 mm 42,700.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) 43,800, (35X5) (65X6) 36,900. Girder 125X65 41,000.
