Saria weakens on low demand

Saria prices fell by Rs 500 per tonne at the steel market in the national capital today due to poor off-take by construction units against increased stocks.

Traders said reduced off-take by stockists following low demand from engineering and construction units mainly dragged down saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25mm were down by Rs 500 each at Rs 36,600, Rs 38,400, Rs 37,800 and Rs 37,800 per tonne respectively.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 36,600, 10-mm Rs 38,400, 12-mm Rs 37,800, 16-25 mm Rs 37,800.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 44,000, 10-mm Rs 41,500, 12-mm, Rs 40,500, 16-25 mm Rs 40,500.
 

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) 0Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
