Saria weakens on reduced offtake

Saria turned weak and prices fell by Rs 300 per tone at the local steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists following slow down in constructions activity.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists on slow down in construction activity mainly led to the fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 300 each to Rs 49,700, Rs 49,200 and Rs 46,800 per tonne respectively. Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 47,500 per tonne.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm 49,700, 10-mm 49,200, 12-mm 46,800, 16-25 mm 47,500.
 

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 45,700, 10-mm 43,400, 12-mm 42,400, 16-25 mm 42,500.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) 44,600. Girder 125X65 41,000.
