Saria weakens on reduced offtake by stockists

Saria prices fell by Rs 100 per tonne at the local steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists following subdued demand from construction units.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to sluggish demand from construction units weighed on saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 50,000, Rs 48,600 and Rs 47,100, while saria-16-mm traded lower by the same margin to Rs 47,800 per tonne, respectively.

Following are today's quotations per tonne:

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm 50,000, 10-mm 48,600, 12-mm 47,100,16-25 mm 47,800.

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 44,500, 10 mm 43,000, 12-mm 41,500, 16-25 mm 44,900.
 

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 45,500, 10-mm 43,200, 12-mm 42,200, 16-25 mm 42,300.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) 43,800, (35X5) (65X6) 36,900. Girder 125X65 41,000.
