Saria weakens on sluggish demand

Saria showed weakness due to reduced offtake by stockists following slowdown in construction activity and prices drifted by Rs 500 per tonne at the steel market today.

Traders said subdued demand from construction units against adequate stocks position kept pressure on saria prices.

Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 36,000, Rs 34,200 and Rs 33,600 per tonne, respectively.

Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 33,600 per tonne.

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 36,000, 10-mm Rs 34,200, 12-mm Rs 33,600, 16-25 mm Rs 33,600.
