Hospitality chain Sarovar Hotels today announced the overseas foray of its economy brand 'Hometel' with the signing of a hotel in Nairobi with Tetezi House Ltd.
With this, the company will exceed a total of 400 keys in Nairobi and 800 keys in Africa, Sarovar Hotels said in a statement.
Commenting on the development, Sarovar Hotels Managing Director Ajay K Bakaya said: "There is a growing demand for good value for money hotels across the country and abroad. This is the largest demand segment."
Construction of the project has commenced and the hotel is expected to open in 2019, Sarovar Hotels said.
Sarovar Hotels and Resorts is a hotel management company. It currently manages 75 operational hotels in 50 destinations across India and overseas, under Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, Hometel brands.
