Umesh Sharma succumbed in the Sadar hospital this afternoon, SP Harpreet Kaur said.
Six others were still undergoing treatment including one at PMCH Patna, she said.
Eight persons had died consuming contaminated sattu after buying it from a shop in Rajabazar locality under Nagar police station area yesterday.
The shop owner Kunti Devi has been detained for questioning.
