Sketch-comedy show "Saturday Night Live" will air a special titled "'SNL' Goodnight Sweet Prince," as a tribute to the music icon, who was found dead at his home on Thursday.

The special, which will be aired tonight at 11.30 pm, will look back on Prince's most memorable performances on the late-night show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Prince served as the musical guest three times in total: in 1981, in 2006 and, more recently, in 2014 with host Chris Rock.

In addition to SNL's special episode, "New Girl" also will pay homage to the "Kiss" singer by replaying the post-Super Bowl episode he appeared in, aptly called "Prince," on Tuesday.

Since the news broke Thursday of the singer's death at age 57, many music channels, including MTV, VH1 and BET, have lined up hours of coverage dedicated to the singer, including his extensive library of music videos and his film, Purple Rain, which also will return to 87 AMC theaters over the weekend.
