Satyajit Ray is forever: Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today paid respect to film maestro Satyajit Ray on the occasion of his 92nd birthday at the state secretariat Writers' Buildings.

Ray's son Sandip Ray and his daughter-in-law Lalita were also present on the occasion, where singer Anup Ghosal, who made history singing for his 'Goopy Gayne Bagha Bayne' in the 1960s performed.

"The place of Satyajit Ray in the hearts of film lovers of the world is unrivalled. His multifaceted creations have the incredible power to satiate the quest for joy and fulfilment that thrives in our minds. Satyajit Ray is forever," Banerjee said.
