State Bank of India (SBI) chief Arundhati Bhattacharya has been appointed as chairperson of the Board of Governors (BoG) of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur, Odisha.
Bhattacharya's tenure as the Chairperson of the BoG, is for five years, IIM Indore spokesperson said today.
She was the 36th most powerful woman of the world, according to Forbes Magazine's rating in 2014.
IIM Sambalpur, is among the six new Indian Institutes of Management that got budgetary allocation in 2014-15.
