State Bank of India Chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya inaugurated the bank's new branch at Ayyappanthangal and also the Retail Assets Central Processing Centre to serve western parts of the city.
Bhattacharya, who was here recently, inaugurated the Centre situated on the Porur-Poonamallee High Road, a bank release said.
While the branch would serve the people in the locality, the Retail Assets Central Processing Centre would process and sanction home loans, car loans or educational loans which is linked with around 25 branches of the Bank, it said.
The Chairperson also handed over the key of an ambulance to the famous Sri Ayyappa Charitable Trust, Anna Nagar, the release said.
