Foreign and Law Minister K Shanmugam presented a trophy and SBI's sponsored 10,000 Singapore dollar cash award to Dr Rasappan who reached the 8,848m summit on 26 May 2012.
Rasappan, 28, donated the cash award to the Community Charity Fund of the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he is a practicing doctor.
Commenting on the award, Rasappan said his "No Mountain Too High" mission was to raise funds for bed-ridden patients who were not able to afford medical treatment and aftercare costs.
The award was given by Table, an English-language weekly for the Indian community from the Singapore Press Holdings, the main newspaper Group.
