Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman Abdul Nazir Maudany, an accused in the 2008 Bangalore blast case, was today allowed by the Supreme Court to visit his ailing mother.
A bench of justices J Chelameswar and A K Goel extended the relief to Maudany only for five days and asked him not to misuse his liberty.
The court asked him to inform the City Police Commissioner about his travel plans.

Maudany was arrested on August 17, 2010, in connection with the conspiracy for the Bangalore bomb blast.
He was granted bail on July 11, 2014, which was extended by two weeks August 11, 2014 and the same was extended by four months on November 14 last year, as the court had given Karnataka four months time to conclude the trial.
While granting bail to Maudany on July 11 last year, the apex court had asked him not to leave the city and to furnish the details of his stay during the bail period.
