Observing that it is a serious case, a bench of justices K S Radhakrishnan and J S Khehar directed the government to respond to wife Nikhat Parveen's allegation and posted the matter for further hearing on June 6.
"Its is an important matter. We want to know the whereabouts of the petitioner's husband," the bench said issuing notices to the Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry seeking their responses by June 6 when the plea of Nikhat Parveen would be taken up for hearing.
Advocate Naushad Ahmad Khan, appearing for Parveen, pleaded the court should direct the government to reveal the whereabouts of Fasih Mohammed who was allegedly picked up by Indian officials with the assistance of the authorities of Saudi Arabia. (more)
