Janata Dal(U) president Sharad Yadav today said the Supreme Court ruling that there can be no quota in appointment for faculty posts in speciality and super speciality courses in medical colleges underlined "the anti- reservation mindset of the judiciary".
"The judgement clearly shows the anti-reservation attitude and hidden motive to dilute the reservation policy by the government. I am stunned to know that after this judgment the reservation policy will not be applicable in the higher echelons of universities," he said.
According to Yadav, the government did not fight the case "sincerely and strongly" which allowed the court to "find a way to dilute reservation".
