The Supreme Court today dismissed a plea filed against a Rajasthan High Court verdict ordering demolition of properties at a locality in Jaipur.

A bench of justices J S Kehar and Dipak Misra, in a hearing during the vacation, refused to entertain the plea filed by Chotu Ram seeking a stay on the proposed demolition of properties in pursuance of the high court order.

"You (petitioner) cannot start the second round of litigation," it said.

The court said the petitioner had lost out in the first round of litigation and cannot be allowed to re-agitate it.

The Jaipur bench of the high court had held that land, measuring approximately 27 acres, at Vaishali locality in the state capital belonged to the Jaipur Development Authority.

It had ordered demolitions of the properties there.
