The Supreme Court today agreed to hear on February 10 a plea on worsening pollution level in the national capital which, according to a recent study, has now overtaken Beijing as the most polluted city in the world.
"We will hear it on next Monday," a bench headed by Justice A K Patnaik said when senior advocate Harish Salve mentioned the issue and urged the apex court to take it up.
"Delhi has become the most polluted city in the world and nobody is doing anything. The city is done," Salve said, adding the earlier conceived project of having a bypass corridor around the national capital is stuck up.
