The Supreme Court verdict, which took nearly a year and half long legal battle leading to the ouster of N Srinivasan from BCCI, has remained silent on the roles of players including "12 capped cricketers" who had come under scrutiny of Justice Mudgal Committee for their alleged misdemeanour in the IPL.
Though the 138-page judgement by a bench of Justices T S Thakur and F M I Kalifulla left certain issues for its newly appointed committee of judges headed by former CJI R M Lodha to probe, it did not mention whether those players whose names have cropped up in the Mudgal report needed to be further investigated.
The Mudgal Committee in its interim report of February 10, 2014 and final report of November 3, 2014 had spoken of misdemeanour by certain persons, including players.

Later in the final report, it had categorically stated and indicted BCCI President-in-exile Srinivasan for not taking action against a cricketer, who it did not name, for violating Players Code of Conduct despite being aware of it.
