In a case of lax security, a man wanted in connection with the Rs 200-crore Emu bird scam in Tamil Nadu gave the slip to policemen after he was brought here from Kerala to appear in court.
Maniraj, who was escorted here from Kanhangad in Kerala by two police personnel last night, escaped while having dinner at around 11 PM, police said today.
He was in prison in Kerala in connection with a cheque bounce case.
