Scant rain in Delhi, relative humidity up to 100 per cent

A day after heavy rains lashed the city creating waterlogging and traffic snarls in several areas, the national capital received scant rainfall today even as relative humidity upto 100 per cent troubled people.

The maximum temperature settled at 31.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the normal.

According to an MeT official, the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, one degree below the normal, while the humidity oscillated between 76 and 100 per cent.

"23.2 mm rainfall was recorded till 8.30 AM. However, zero rainfall was recorded thereafter even though the sky remained partly cloudy," the official said.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky for tomorrow with a possibility of light rain.
 

"The maximum temperature is likely to be at 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum can be 26. Partly cloudy sky with the light rain/drizzle is likely to occur tomorrow," the official said.

The downpour Yesterday had triggered traffic snarls at various intersections and busy roundabouts, including ITO and Dhaula Kuan.

The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 29.1 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
