Scattered rains occur in Rajasthan

Scattered rains occurred in parts of Rajasthan as the southwest monsoon covered the entire desert state with Pratapgarh and Deval recording a maximum rainfall of 7 cm each in the past 24 hours, a met official said today.

Moderate to heavy rains occurred in Pratapgarh, Banswara, Dholpur, Ratangarh, Taranagar, Pachpadra, Nohar, Manohar Thana, Kherwara, Pachpadra in the range of 3 to 6 cm, Met office said here.

Since morning, Dabhok (Uaipur) recorded a maximum of 3 mm followed by Pilani 1 mm.

Barmer was the hottest place with 39.8 degree Celsius followed by Jodhpur 39.3 degree C as the hot and humid weather conditions prevailed in rest of the state, including Jaipur where the maximum temperature was 36.6 degree C.
 

The Met department forecasts that southwest monsoon is likely to aggravate in the entire state in the next 24 hours.
