School boy killed, 7 injured as tempo rams into truck in Raj

A 12-year-old boy was killed and seven others were injured when a tempo in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan today, police said.

The incident took place this morning when the tempo carrying some school students collided with the truck due to thick fog near Amruka village in Pahadi area, in which six students and the tempo's driver were also injured, they said, adding, the condition of the two is stated to be critical.

The boy, identified as Majid, died on the spot, police said, adding, the injured have been admitted to a hospital in Alwar.

Police added that while the truck has been seized, the

driver is absconding.
