School director gets lifer for murdering a lady teacher

The 38-year-old director of a private

school in the district was sentenced to life imprisonment today for killing a lady teacher employed in his institution.

While sentencing the director, Arun Panchal under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code IPC various Sections of the SC / ST Act, the Court of Special Judge R P Sharma also ordered him to pay compensation of Rs 10,000 to the victim's mother.

The prosecution counsel, Indrajeet Singh Bhatia said that Panchal who had been running a school about 30 km from here had killed the lady teacher in the jungles near Simrol on June 27, 2011.
 

Initially, relations between the two were good, but after they soured, Panchal took to the jungles, under the pretext of an outing, chopped her neck and burnt her face.
