School kids gift baby costumes to would be grandpa Clinton

A would be grandfather, former US President Bill Clinton was today gifted hand-made baby costumes by students of two government schools in Jaipur.

Clinton said his daughter Chelsea Clinton is expecting her first child and he is excited to be in the new role of grandfather.

"I always hoped I would become grandfather. I have been blessed by the God fairly with this," a delighted Clinton told reporters at a government school here.

The former US president visited the kitchen of Akshya Patra Foundation in Jagatpura area where he saw how food was prepared with the use of technology for a large number of government school children as part of the mid-day meal programme.
 

School students also presented Clinton hand-made gifts, including costumes for the baby.

He interacted with students, who earlier welcomed him with traditional Rajasthani song "Padharo Mhare Des". A group of girls also gave cultural presentation on another popular Rajasthani folk song 'Ghoomar'.

School students also amazed Clinton and others present in the function with their mathematical skills.
