School principal, manager booked for harassing co-worker

A case has been registered against the principal and manager of a local school for allegedly harassing an assistant librarian and robbing her of valuables, police said today.

An FIR was lodged against principal Vipin Rathi and manager Sandesh Dutta of Swami Vivekanand Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Rajendra Nagar colony of Sahibabad area on the complaint of a female assistant librarian working in the school, SHO Sahibabad, Haridayal Singh Yadav said.

The woman had alleged that the duo called her to the school on the false pretext of work and outraged her modesty, he said.

According to the complaint, the victim was forced to organize 'Shakas' of female wing of RSS (Rashtriya Sevika Samiti) and asked to attend various camps and meetings in late night hours and early in the morning.
 

Upon her resistance, the management sacked her and broke open the lockers allotted to her and kept in the school library, police said, adding that her ornaments and cash that she had kept in the lockers for safety, were stolen.

The duo has been booked under relevant sections of IPC, Yadav said, adding that the accused are yet to be arrested.
