School teacher, three others arrested for ganja smuggling

A teacher of a government school and three others were arrested by Chintapalle police today for allegedly trying to smuggle 85 kg of dry ganja, valued at Rs 4 lakh, early this morning.

Police identified the accused as G Rambabu who teaches at MPUP School at Kottagunnala village, B Ramesh, L Raju, and Raju, who was driving the car in which the ganja was being transported, near Chintapalle.

Three others fled from the spot as police team led by sub-inspector Y Tarakeswara Rao intercepted the car which was heading for Hyderabad.
