SCI may take stock of useful life of vessels on Thursday

The company's fleet consists of 69 ships as on April 1

State-owned Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) today said it may review the useful life of its vessels this week.

"A meeting of the board of directors of the company scheduled to be held on May 21, inter alia, may discuss the agenda with respect to revision in useful life of the vessels of SCI," the largest domestic shipping liner said in a regulatory filing to BSE.

The company's overall fleet consists of 69 ships as on April 1.

SCI had in March said it has taken physical delivery of large crude carrier Desh Vibhor, of 3,16,634 DWT (deadweight) capacity.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 50.60 on BSE, up 1.10 per cent from the previous close.
