Science and Technology should be developed in such a way that it could be used to help mankind lead a better life, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Y S Chowdary said today.
Research in advanced manufacturing activities would lead to a better economy and the huge literacy gap that existed in the country should be uprooted with the development of livelihood, he said inaugurating 89th Founders Day celebrations of a private group of educational institutions here.
Stating that the youngsters in the country should contribute their potential for a successful 'Make in India' programme of the government, he said incubation and innovation centres would be set up across every university and institute for the betterment of students.

Coimbatore, being a major hub for innovation and technology, should be developed further with advanced research trends in every possible sector and facilities available with National Research Development Corporation could be utilised by the researchers, he said.
