"A miracle would take place in Gujarat this time as the situation in the state is not like that is widely publicised," Scindia who had gone to Gujarat for campaigning told reporters here.

The Minister of State for Energy informed that National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) would set up a power plant in Hoshangabad district of the state.

He said that in the 11th five-year plan, the government achieved additional power generation capacity of 55-56,000 MW against a target of 62,000 MW whereas in the 12th plan the target was revised to 90,000 MW.

He said Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh was like his father and said that people looked at him for inspiration.

"Digvijay Singh is like my father. He has been in public life for almost 30-40 years and the state looks at him for inspiration," Scindia said after inaugurating Sakshi Hospital and Medical College here.

Singh also reciprocated by stating that he would always treat Jyotiraditya as his son.

Earlier, Scindia said that private sector has to play a major role in the area of health and education and people have to rise above politics for the development of the state.
