Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday criticised the BJP government at the Centre and state on various issues including alleged atrocities on Dalits, Kashmir impasse and Vyapam scam.

"The BJP talked of 'Congress-mukt Bharat' (Congress free India) but atrocities on SC/STs like the one at Una in Gujarat suggest that it wants a 'Dalit-Tribal mukt Bharat' (reserved categories and tribals free India)," the Congress chief whip in Lok Sabha, told reporters here.

The Guna MP also said that the Narendra Modi government has failed on all counts and joblessness among young people has shot up.

The government had promised to generate two crore jobs annually but not even two per cent of the figure could materialise, he alleged.

Price rise and inflation is hitting commoners hard and the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has worsened, he said.

"What we are witnessing today is a result of the marriage of inconvenience between PDP and BJP."

Scindia said that while Kashmir was under curfew, PM was silent for over a month.

"This is the government that let the ISI enter Pathankot airbase. Such is the sad state of affairs when it comes to internal security", he said.

On the Vyapam scam that rattled Madhya Pradesh, the former Union Minister said he was hopeful that the guilty won't be spared.

"The Supreme Court has chided CBI over the delay and lackadaisical investigation (in the case)," he added.

To a query, he said the entire governance in MP has collapsed.

"The state is performing poorly on key social indicators. Hospitals are in a bad shape, schools are without teachers and the investment scenario is discouraging, despite hollow claims of the government."

Scindia alleged that government employees are being attacked by ruling party leaders who walk scot-free.

He said that 47 per cent kids are malnourished in the state.

"MP is now lagging behind Bihar, Odisha and many other states on social indicators."

He said MP government's Global Investment Summits (GIS) were big failures and no major industry has come to the state.

"Farmers are suffering in the state but the government pays no attention, which is a shame," he added.
