Apex body of public sector enterprises SCOPE today asked PSUs to prepare an operating manual, which could be used as a reference on key vigilance matters.
In a session attended by Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Pradeep Kumar, SCOPE Chairman C S Verma highlighted various issues which are matters of concern in CPSEs with regard to vigilance.
These inter alia included issues related to award of contracts; anonymous & pseudonymous complaints and issues related to individual vigilance clearance. He urged that an appropriate mechanism in this regard may be formulated.

SCOPE Director General U D Choubey suggested preparation of an operating manual, which could be used as a reference/guide on key vigilance matters arising in PSEs.
"This would be useful for the entire public sector for deciding cases in a timely manner," Choubey said.
Meanwhile, Kumar emphasised that organisations need to appreciate that vigilance is an aid to management.
Appreciating the enormous contribution of CPSEs in nation building, CVC said that public sector has not only built the economic foundation of the country, but has also provided a vast pool of excellent technical and managerial talent to enterprises, public or private.
