Scorching heat affects normal life in Raj, Churu hottest at

Blistering heat affected normal life in Rajasthan today with Churu being the hottest where the mercury soared to 46.1 degrees Celsius.

Light rains occurred at isolated places in Udaipur division till this morning since yesterday, the MeT department said.

Jaisalmer, Barmer and Bikaner recorded maximum temperatures of 45.5 degrees Celsius, 45.4 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees Celsius respectively.

Sriganganagar registered a high of 44.5 degrees Celsius while Jodhpur, Kota, Pilani, Jaipur and Ajmer recorded maximum temperatures of 44 degrees Celsius, 43.7 degrees Celsius, 43.2 degrees Celsius, 43 degrees Celsius and 42.8 degrees Celsius respectively.

Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated areas in western parts of the state till tomorrow, the weatherman has said.
