Scorching heat threw normal life out of gear in parts of Rajasthan, with Kota recording maximum temperature of 43.3 degrees Celsius even as rainfall occurred in isolated parts of the state.
Jaipur registered maximum temperature of 42.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Bikaner, Barmer and Jaisalmer which recorded day temperatures of 41.8 degrees Celsius, 41.7 degrees Celsius and 41.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
Maximum temperatures at other stations was below 41 degrees, the meteorological department said, adding light rainfall occurred at isolated parts in Kota and Ajmer divisions.
The weatherman has forecast light rains and thunderstorm at isolated places in the state till tomorrow.
