In BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, police used canes to push away the activists who tried to gherao Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence in Bhopal. 25 persons, including five girls, were held while trying to cross barricades.
In Raipur, capital of Chhattisgarh, another BJP-ruled state, at least 30 activists were detained when they marched to the residence of Chief Minister Raman Singh, police said.
Raipur Zilla Additional Superintendent of Police Lal Ummed Singh said the IAC activists were later released.
IAC activist Uchit Sharma alleged, "The Centre and the state governments were collectively indulging in corruption in coal block allocation. Chief Minister Raman Singh should clarify his stand."
In Odisha, where BJD is in power, IAC activists staged a demonstration in Bhubaneswar and tried to gherao Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's residence.
Around 30 activists were detained, police said.

Several activists shouted slogans and held placards denouncing corruption and black money stashed abroad.
They also hit out at the BJD government alleging large scale corruption in mining activities and allotment of coal blocks.
In Mumbai, the city police registered a case against over 40 IAC volunteers for unlawful assembly. They were carrying flags, placards and shouting slogans.
