The South Central Railway has announced introduction of special trains from various parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra to meet the extra rush of Ayyappa devotees headed for the Sabarimala pilgrimage.
The special trains will operate from Kakinada, Narsapur, Machilipatnam, Secunderabad, Sirpurkhagaznagar, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Akola and Aurangabad to Kollam in Kerala and return.
The Railways has already included these special trains in its reservation website. These specials will continue to run till the end of 'Makara Jyothi' at Sabarimala scheduled on January 14 next year.
