Screen Awards to commemorate 'heroes'

The 20th Screen Awards will honour heroes in real and reel life this time.

The hunt for these heroes is spread across ten cities in the country. The awards this year will celebrate achievement and excellence in over 30 categories in Hindi and Marathi cinema.

"The Screen Awards are known for their credible and unbiased approach towards celebrating excellence in Indian cinema, and are the most respected in the entertainment fraternity. In the 20th year we are committed to making it bigger and better t han before," George Varghese, CEO, the Indian Express Group, said.

Screen Awards this year will be telecast on Life OK channel, which has bagged its telecast rights.
 

"Like always, we were looking for content that goes beyond just entertainment. Screen Awards, apart from being the topmost annual Awards has a history of credibility and honouring good cinema. We are proud to have cemented this association," Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK, said.

The award show will be held on January 14 and it is likely to be telecast by month-end.
