Police have booked a scribe, an editor of a local weekly newspaper, and another person on charges of hurting the religious sentiments of a community.
The police yesterday registered a criminal case against the editor and the author of an article on the charge of "deliberately and maliciously" intending to outrage the religious feelings of a community.
As soon as the weekly newspaper was distributed in the town yesterday, there was resentment among a section of the people and later they held a demonstration in front of the weekly's office at Baghapurana here.
