Members of Journalists Coordination Committee of Bihar today met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and handed over a memorandum seeking permanent job for wife of the murdered scribe in Siwan and free education for his children.
The committee members in the memorandum also sought adequate security for journalists working in the state, in addition to the financial compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the bereaved family .
The scribes' body urges the Chief Minister to make the job of Asha Devi, wife of the the murdered journalist Rajdeo Ranjan, who works as a contractual teacher.

The delegation included Convener of the Journalists' Coordination Committee Ravi Upadhyaya and other senior scribes including Ashish Kumar Mishra, Nivedita, Shivendra Narayan Singh, Ganga Prasad and Kulbhushan.
Ravi Upadhyay said the CM has assured the journalists of immediate arrest of all assailants involved in the killing of Rajdeo Ranjan in Siwan on May 13.
Journalists were hitting the streets in Bihar to protest the killing of Siwan district bureau head of prominent vernacular newspaper 'Hindustan'.
